Best engine! ...I want to say BMW F900 GS test. 😃❤️💙💙💙

Actually, the point was made in the first two words. When I received the test bike from BMW Motorrad Hungary, the sales representative handed it over to me with these words.
It occurred to me, why would a BMW expert say that about a smaller model that is „chineseized” by many, offering a low-end equipment compared to the boxer GS?

The first kilometres together - instantly in love

Then I'm off.
After receiving it, I went directly to a client who I work for on the marketing front. He is also a biker. It was only half an hour's drive, but what I had already told him about this bike was at least half an hour again.

At first I didn't understand what I was being told, and now he looked at me with similarly puzzled eyes.

Why?

Ergonomics, seating position, handling

But let's get started. I'll sit up. Everything is ready on the first try.
Height-adjustable footrest for off-road use, comfortable seating position, although the handlebars are a little high at first, but all the better for off-road use.

It doesn't have many extra features and chills. This model was made for motorcycling.

Plexiglas and wind protection - small plexiglas, big impact

Plexiglas is nothing, yet the negative bend-back deflects most of the distracting driving winds so well, it's as if they'd put a shield twice the size, which would make the engine quite slippery.

Tank, range, touring

Tank capacity is just 14.5 litres. Not much for anything. At 200 km, the reserve is plenty.
Not a good option for longer hikes, unless you like to stop every hour for a cigarette and coffee.

Seating and passenger comfort

Sitting the same. The engine is 900cc, but it's short. The seat is short too. Both in front and for the passenger.
Let's put it this way: as a passenger, it can't be much better than on a sports bike or a naked bike.

Not to mention that there is not even a handrail. You have to grab on to it all the way, but you have to grab it hard, because this bike really goes.

Engine block, acceleration, character

It feels as fast as pulling a 1300 GS.
Only this one feels a lot rougher. From 0 or closed throttle, it's downright biting. It's almost KTM. xD

The „bad boy” gene known from KTMs

And here's what makes me like this bike the most so far, despite all the negative things I've heard.
It has the things that have always made me love KTMs.

A biting, streetfighter, badass enduro!

Chassis - the key to magic

He pushes hard at the beginning.
You have to hang on. It also sounds brutally good (since it comes standard with Akrapovic).

And what else is an indispensable part of the perfect recipe:
The running gear!

As part of the Enduro Package Pro, this model boasts a 45 mm SHOWA front fork and fully adjustable ZF struts. And it is!

There are certain stretches of road that I do with each test bike to compare them in the same conditions.
The big thing is, so far only the 1300 GS Adventure chassis has reached this level.

It's just not a good option for more serious terrain. This is.... Ah, it's hard to be unbiased, but the chassis on this one is brutal!

It rolls south on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear pairs.

Off-road experience - amusement park on two wheels

Specifically, I don't like off-road racing, but with this bike I felt a strong urge to give it a serious pull, because it was so easy to pick up bumps on dirt roads.

It's a theme park!

The problem is that I had the same feeling on the road. It's a bit of an exaggeration to say that this bike is no good for anything, but it really knows how to do it!

What is the F900 GS good (or not) for?

Because for touring it lacks everything that would make it a good touring bike, for urban running it's a luxury instead of a scooter, and for off-road it's not sure if a 219 kilo monster is optimal.

And the truth is that you don't necessarily buy a motorbike based on reason.
Then every motorcyclist could drive a Toyota Prius.

Riding a motorbike is a feeling of life and adrenaline.
This last is something this engine is very good at.

I can't really explain why I like it, it's just really good to drive. And when the experience of a bike gives you such feelings, you explain everything against it!

Chinese block, Voge-gear, BMW prestige

Oh, that the block is made by Loncin in China?
Who cares if the engine is good?

The iPhone is also made in Chinese factories, yet they wouldn't buy anything else, and those Chinese factories don't get Apple's iOS software to use in other devices like it...

Oh, that Voge has a similar engine?
Then buy a BMW kopi from there.

Anyone who cares about BMW quality control, the fact that the engine is assembled in Germany, and the prestige that BMW has built up over decades, will choose BMW anyway.

By the way, a friend of mine drove both models and said they had totally different characters. The BMW is much more manageable, more balanced, more consistent in everything to drive.

Of course, there are similarities, but the price difference is manifested in several things.
Essentially, you get pretty much what you pay for everywhere.

Summary - what does the F900 GS do for me?

So I'm going to write this down for the tenth time: this bike is awesome, it's great to ride, it's great to go fast on all kinds of roads, whether it's city, twisty or dirt, and you've lost me here, because for me the F900 GS is an orgasm.

The dry matter and technical data are on the official pages. 😃
I can only encourage everyone, if you have the opportunity, to try this model and you will understand what I am talking about.

So far, of all the test bikes I've written about, this one has given me the most real-world riding experience!
I love it!
