About me
Who I am
I was born as Gergő Vasas in Eger, then at the dawn of my adulthood I was taken to Austria and stuck there. As it happens on the career ladder, I was thrown into the merry-go-round, until I made a radical decision overnight.
I gave up all my previous prestigious jobs, sold and distributed my assets.
That left me and a motorbike, and of course only enough stuff to fit on it. That was all I needed, I just quietly rolled away...
My vocation
I have worked as a medical technician and IT specialist in education and engineering. And my interests have driven me towards the online world: eCommerce and social media building. I see the greatest challenges in building online commerce systems focused on automation, which has led me to pioneer the creation of more and more digital training materials.
I know it's not a motorcycle topic, but I'd like to add to the overall picture that I'm just as enthusiastic about other areas of life.
It is this kind of 'can-do' attitude and work ethic that has enabled me to travel the world for over 1 year with absolutely no worries, always looking ahead.
My goals
The driving force behind sharing my nomadic motorbike globetrotting on social media channels is to show people what a beautiful place we live in and to take in all the good things that surround us. Often, this requires travelling far and wide and breaking out of the drabness of everyday life, or at least looking out of it.
I also try to show others, through my own example, that big trips like this are not necessarily about money. Many people, sitting on the latest series of big enduros, ask me: "Where do you get the money to travel for such a long time?" Of course, you have to give up the necessities, but what you get in return is second to none. The question is who puts the emphasis on what. Some go for the tangibles, some go for the experience. If you want something badly enough, believe me, you will get it, but take the first step today, not tomorrow or the first of January.
My conviction
Another thing I have to stress all the time is that people are basically good. But at least they'll treat you the way you treat them. It's a recurring question how I dare to go to such remote foreign places, whether I'm not afraid of being robbed, cheated and so on. I can say with the utmost sincerity that I've been helped in some way by everyone on my journey. It is amazing how much help I have received in all countries, regardless of nationality.
Just because the media is full of negative news doesn't mean you have anything to worry about. See through it, experience it personally.
